Which DeLonghi Semi Automatic to buy

EC155

One of the more popular manual espresso machines from DeLonghi is the EC155. This is an affordable machine and is well built for the price. Delonghi Dedica Deluxe

The Dedica Deluxe is another big seller from Delonghi. This coffee maker is actually somewhere between a Semi Automatic and an Automatic espresso machine. The coffee shot can either be stopped manually or programmed to stop automatically.

Delonghi EC702

The EC702 automatic espresso maker from Delonghi is again one of their most popular machines. It is a really well made, reliable machine. It doesn’t have some of the features that come with the Dedica Deluxe but it is a no nonsense coffee maker that will provide you with good coffee again and again. The good quality materials ensure that this machine is a worthy investment that will be long lasting.

Delonghi La Specialista

La Specialista is the top of the line in domestic automatic espresso machines. It has a host of super features and so is a little bit more pricey than the other automatic espresso machines from Delonghi.

It is actually a cross between an automatic and a super automatic as it has a built in grinder and smart tamping system but you still have to lock the filter into the group head and start the brewing process yourself.

Super Automatic Espresso Makers and Cappuccino Makers

There are two types of super automatic – espresso makers and cappuccino makers.

De’Longhi Espresso Makers

Super automatic espresso machines will brew the espresso for you as previously mentioned, but they don’t foam the milk automatically. That still needs to be done with a milk wand/frother that comes with the machine, but it is very simple, and we’ll explain why in a bit.

The Delonghi Magnifica range have a whole host of super automatic options. Two of their most popular espresso makers are the Delonghi ESAM3300 and the ECAM22110B.

De’Longhi Cappuccino Makers

Cappuccino makers, as you might have guessed, brew the espresso AND foam the milk for you. They are also known as ‘one touch machines’ because you literally just press one button and get your perfectly brewed coffee in your cup a few seconds later. A excellent cappuccino machine is the ECAM23460S. This is one of the highest end domestic coffee machines offered by Delonghi but it is well worth it if you value cool tech and convenience.
